Below is a summary featuring the most interesting observations from this month, based on reports from the ISRABIRDNET mailing list and other sources.
Great Shearwater (Puffinus gravis): 1 off Jaffa port, 21/Feb (B. Granit). 4th record for Israel.

Diver sp. (Gavia sp.): 1 on passage over Eilat, 19/Feb evening (A. Ben Dov).

Common Eider (Somateria mollissima): 1 off Ashdod coast, 17/Feb (Y. Perlman).

Mute Swan (Cygnus olor): 5 were still present at Nahsholim fishponds in early Feb, but only 1 on 27/Feb (C. Rozen).

Cinereous Vulture (Aegypius monachus): 2 at Gamla reserve, 08/Feb (S. Luria, R. Markus).

Demoiselle Crane (Anthropoides virgo): 1 at the Hula re-flooded area, 09/Feb (I. Shanii et al.).

American Golden Plover (Pluvialis dominica): the bird was present at Acre north beach throughout the month (S. Haham, R. Segali et al.).

Kittiwake (Rissa tridactyla): an influx, starting from 06/Feb, when 3 were seen in Acre (A. Ben Dov, S. Haham) and 1 at Ma'agan Michael (A. Mayrose, S. Agmon). During a westerly storm on 21/Feb, some 30+ birds were counted off Jaffa (B. Granit et al.) and up to 23 off Michmoret (C. Rozen). Singles were noted along the coasts as late as 28/Feb.

Lesser Crested Tern (Sterna benegalensis): 1 off Acre, 28/Feb (R&G. Segali, S. Haham, S. Luria).

Great Black-backed Gull (Larus marinus): 1 still present at Acre beach (S. Haham, R. Segali).

Kurdish Wheatear (Oenanthe xanthoprimna): 2 birds were still present at Wadi Heimar and Mishmar.

Steppe Grey Shrike (Lanius excubitor pallidirostris): 1 still present at the Hula re-flooded area on 08/Feb (I. Shanni, Y. Perlman).

Red-fronted Serin (Serinus pussilus): 1 in a mixed flock of Finches, Kumi Hill, Harod valley, 25/Feb (T. Kahn).
