Pectoral Sandpiper (Calidris melanotos), Yotvata sewage, 30/APR/2008

On the morning of the 30th of April, Markus Craig of Austria sent out the news on a Pectoral Sandpiper observed at the Yotvata sewage.
The bird frequented a tiny muddy pool there and allowed for very close approach.
This is the 6th record for Israel, previous record goes back to 17-SEP-1998 when Andrea Corso observed a bird at Maoz Hay'im, Beit-Shean Valley.
