Red-necked Phalarope (Phalaropus lobatus): Max 20, Km 20 saltpans, 12/May (Y. Wasserlauf).

Pomarine Skua (Stercorarius pomarinus): 3-5 off Eilat's north beach, 04-05/May (B. Granit, T. Landsberger, M. Craig et al.)

Bridled Tern (Sterna anaethetus): 1 off Eilat's north beach, 14/May (J. Meyrav)

Lesser Crested Tern (Sterna bengalensis): 1 off Eilat's north beach, 14-15/May (J. Meyrav, N. Weiss)

Saunder's Tern (Sterna saundersii): 1 off Eilat's north beach, 17/May (N. Weiss).

White-cheeked Tern (Sterna repressa): Large numbers during May, peaking on the 17th with 30+ birds (N. Weiss, A. Cohen, B. Granit et al.).

White-winged Black Tern (Chlidonias leucopterus): Up to 5,000 off Eilat's north beach, 03/May (A. Cohen).

Short-eared Owl (Asio flammeus): 1 late bird at Negba fields, 07/May (E. Hadad).

Hoopoe Lark (Alemon alaudipes): 1 at Km 20 area, 20/May (S. Alterman).

Black Bush Robin (Cerotrichas podobe): 1 ringed at IBRC Eilat, 21/May (N. Weiss).

River Warbler (Locustella fluviatillis): 3 at bahad 1 Tamarisks, 05/May (B. Granit, T. Landsberger); several trapped and ringed at Jerusalem throughout the month (S. Agmon et al.).
