Red Phalarope (Phalaropus fulicarius), Km 20 saltpans, 28/OCT/05

On the 28th of October, Noam Weiss found a 1st winter Red Phalarope at K20 saltpans, north to Eilat.
This species is extremely rare in Israel, with about 27 previous records. It occurs on migration and in winter, usually at Eilat and Ma'agan Michael area.

The following pictures were taken on the 29th and 30th.
